How to download Instagram Reels in HD
A public Reel can be saved in the quality Instagram stores it in, up to 1080p. All it takes is the Reel’s link.
Copy the link
Open the public Instagram post. Use Share → Copy link.
Which quality should I choose?
“Highest quality” is the sharpest file Instagram offers, often in the VP9 format. If it will not play on an older phone, a Windows PC or in an editing app, choose “Most compatible”, which is H.264. “Smaller file” saves storage and data.
How sharp a saved Reel can be
A Reel cannot be saved sharper than Instagram stores it, which is 1080p at most. If only a smaller size is offered, that is the largest copy Instagram keeps of that Reel.
Why is my Reel saved without sound?
Some Reels have no sound, and some use music that Instagram does not provide in every country. Nabfox saves what Instagram gives our server: if there is no sound, the video is offered without it and no MP3 is offered.
The file was saved, but you cannot find it
On iPhone, Safari saves to the Downloads folder of the Files app, not to Photos. On Android, Chrome saves to the Downloads folder. The two guides linked below show where to look.
